Today was a pretty good day. I got the sewing machine I picked up off marketplace up and running today and stitched my first thread in 30+ years. I’m still riding my runners high from this morning and opening a new maker path just adds to the feel.

I am likely to finish 3rd in my #fantasyfootball league this year. I am pretty happy with that result overall.

I just had my fantasy football team beat by the 8th place team with three position players out…. And I had Trever Lawrence on the bench. FML. Still should be in the top 4 and in the playoffs but still…

Ran the #thundercloudturkeytrot here in #austin this morning. A little chilly to start but great for the run. Lots of folks came out which was great. Really happy with my pace as well.

Got to interact with the #austin fire department today as I smelt a gas leak near my meter. They were quick to arrive and figure out the issue. A+ will call again if needed. Also props to the Texas Gas Service employee who fixed the issue in an hour. And my house didn’t blow up. It is a good day!

Had a good weekend of meals in #rva this weekend. Lunch at Postros Mexican was a solid fajita burrito. Breakfast at Smokey Mug was an excellent biscuit breakfast sandwich. Dinner at Fat Dragon was a tasty tangerine chicken. Good all the way around.

Ran my 4th #parkrun this morning. Time is way better than I expected. Was quite chilly to start but was very pleasant after a mile or so.

Rant time. #facebook is a cesspool of scam and spam. My mom has at least a half a dozen times clicked a link in a “for you” advertisement within facebook that is a full on scam with a screen takeover including audio that warns of account suspension and wants them to call a 1-800 number. 1/X

Just watched Ryan Trahan's 48th (!!!) days of his 50 in 50 fundraiser for St Jude. It is an amazing series that is generating huge donations for St Jude. If you haven't seen it, got watch an episode or more.

Just had my first Spicy Boys Fried Chicken sandwich. And it was delectable. Highly recommended. No pictures, I was too hungry and it looked too good.

Crazy rain in Central Texas this weekend. My run this morning was only in light to moderate, but on my way home the skies opened. I was doing 30 on I35 with all the other drivers. I have been driving for 30+ years and that might be the worst rain I have ever driven in.

Just watched The Life of Chuck in this afternoon. I enjoyed the presentation quite a bit. I have read the story but I understand it was pretty faithful to it. Recommended watch if you get the opportunity.
