Montreal is excellent in getting in their own way. But United doesn't seem to understand that a strategic plan takes more than 15 months to unfold, especially since they need to jetison elements of the last 4+ strategic plans.

True....but there are other factors that may have reduced the crowds from weather to....other targeted things.

It was the kind of friendly that could bring some of those CA fans back, and what the friendly is meant to do.

That said, it was a different feel last night on the field. This felt more like a friendly from 15-20 years ago. Two teams went out and played a game. United actually played starters and only players from the roster, no guest players no Academy Player 5.

I think a lot of the supporters have soured on friendlies. A club is brought in, not for United fans but to bring others into the stadium, and then United rolls out an Academy+ side to get thumped by 8 goals.

But these things come in threes, right? Maybe Davey and Ken are to even out a deal for that third one.
