Way overly optimistic about what's going to happen, the book is an interesting read, nonetheless.

Barely into the second chapter, and Steven Pinker's new book got "promoted" on my need to finish first shelf.

Minor changes, with some new stuff, and some for which I really struggle to find and read references mentioned within...

Stumbled across this book the other day, while reading new data on the AI bubble: "Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital: The Dynamics of Bubbles and Golden Ages" - excellent, so far!

Another book (Bernardo Kastrup's latest) making it to the top shelf of my "to read soon(er)". The topic addressed seems to be different than previous work from the same author, in the sense that it might actually compare (I might be wrong) to the likes of Cioran's "A short history of decay" (??)

Revolutions begin where myths end; Goliath ends when civilization begins."

I just added Giuliano da Empoli's recently new book "The Hour of the Predator" to my high priority reading list. Of course I would recommend reading it in the language it was originally written, to avoid any "loss in translation" (e.g. title in English dropped the necessary plural, in "predatorS")

Ils ont également pu écouter un "sales pitch" et acheter quelques casquettes MAGA. Les plus belles, jamais vues auparavant.

When the Eastern European leaders (finally! -waited for this since 1989!) look so much more sane and humane than the ones across the ocean: the presidents of Moldova and Romania attending a music fest
