i am at the limit of my polytope knowledge and have more important things to do right now, and and so remain broadly also confused as to why any of this works

the tables on the wikipedia page for spherical polyhedra does make it seem like you can maybe just do whatever

i was randomly looking around on wikipedia and saw this (see page on the great icosahedron), which shows a fractional schlafli symbol encoding that some vertices have different face counts, which while i dont really know how this works, it does seem related :P

archimedean solids doing this sorta makes sense to me since theyre just operations on platonic solids (and i think the other face combinations just get you prisms etc), but then how come it *does* get you all the combinations? and that still relies on knowing why the platonic solids work??

for the basic {a, b} tilings, its sorta clear that if a vertex is planar or hyperbolic, then it can continue going forever, but it does now seem surprising to me that the spherical ones are closed, instead of over/undershooting like an {a/b} polygon does

(see {a, b} diagram by Tessimal)

thats not the entire reason though right? the relative size *is* the difference between (tetra/octa/icoso)hedrons, but its also enforced by the amount of triangles on each vertex, if you changed the size then they wouldnt line up at the vertex, so it wouldnt matter if they lined up on the sphere

as a minecraft mold grower myself, i agree

yohoho is great. its entirely samples from an unfinished @zeronia.org minecraft minigame,, fanart for a very limited in-group

probably joyful july, its more recent than most of the doodles stuff and very varied. the yt version of Choose Another Path especially is notable

i wonder what the blind listening experience is like because most of my albums on bandcamp are formatted in such a way that the actual quality of each song is wholly unpredictable and varies greatly :P

i have now opened your bandcamp on a google tab on my phone, which means i will eventually end up listening to some of it again when on a bus or doing work or something :3
