As an #AdultAutist, I am a fabulous actor. I’m high masking, which means that almost all of my autism happens inside, invisibly. I’m not less autistic than the preschool boy who externalises his autism more. #Unmasking is really difficult, and alienating, literally.

How do you deal with sensory overload in the shower? Navy showers? Earplugs? Take baths? I’m interested. My waterproof Bluetooth speaker helps me. I listen to things that absorb my mind while washing myself.

I won't put sound on my content, because I want everyone to be able to absorb whatever I'm putting out. Different sensory needs are such an important factor in making life more than merely tolerable for many of us. I will keep the noise, both visual and auditory, to a minimum here. #Neurofunky
