It’s deliberate. Small obstacles & idiocies that add stress to transit use will add up to reduce aggregate transit demand. You’d think the people in charge wouldn’t do such things but they always make extra efforts to find cruelty to inflict on transit users: the system is working as designed.

This is definitely true, but I think more frequently critics get bored of inevitability than guild/academy voters do because the former are paying attention for longer and agonize waiting for everyone else to catch up whilst the latter cram their homework in at the end and hope for the best.

I’ve Long suspected the title of his film I.B. is misspelled cause he worked on a typewriter and didn’t know how to spell either, and when he found out the correct spelling intuited that he could use the same title without having legal clear the original if they kept his typo as the title.

In all likelihood in final casting to get on the show they have to submit plans of what they’d make each round (so the show has supplies), then they MUST make that. If one item a contestant wants to make is something the producers know the judges hate that contestant is definitely getting cast

Read this in college and I remember in discussion saying something like “I feel like Humbert Is trying to convince the reader to do the justifying for him, not defend himself but to get us to do it for him.“ prof had the biggest grin while the rest of the class was confused and/or started defending.

And the fix is so easy: taxes (subscription fees), regulations, and fines. Encourage all fifty states to set up their own systems too and don’t allow any discount for overlapping fines/regulations, theyd clean it up in less than 8 hours

You could solve most of the problems of social media by just charging the company a small tax per user‘s post. Every tech company is now a subscription company right? Well guess what, those company’s subscribe to the government and now pay the govt‘s subscription fee (taxes): assessed monthly.

And no one cares about “expand drug price negotiation” no one wants that. What they want is hard price caps on outrageously expensive drugs implemented the day it’s signed into law. Not a 2 year study of the 10 most expensive recommended for negotiation for a price reduction maybe 2 years later.
