Our desktop computer died yesterday. It was a long time coming. The thing was pretty old. Today, I spent some time disconnecting everything and trying, yet again, to make my printer print wirelessly, something I have tried multiple times over the years. Turns out...

Hey! They're thinking of rezoning some land around our town to heavy industrial with a specific interest in a data center snapping it up. So, yeah. If you want to make your opinion known, 1/20/26 City Hall at 6 pm.
Drafted a long post about data centers because I saw an article about how "experts" say they "won't affect house value significantly". Literally, towns around data centers are all but abandoned. The water is undrinkable. And cancer is rampant. futurism.com/artificial-i...
Amazon Data Center Linked to Cluster of Rare Cancers
A sprawling data center in eastern Oregon has been linked to a huge rise in rare cancers, muscle conditions, and miscarriages.

Law and Order was on/just ended and the "executive Producer DICK WOLF" just popped up. Everytime I see it, I think about a car I saw with it as a bumper sticker. It makes me laugh.

Last week I heard an old 80s J-pop song for the first time ever and every few days, it pops back into my head. That's some staying power. Hear it once, your forever cursed.

Welp, time to order my 6 month supply of bodywash again, I reckon.

Once, like, 15 years ago, there was a shortage and no one in town carried it for like a year. I was scrounging around, trying to find it at random grocery stores and stuff. When I started to find it again...

My neighbors across the street are leaf blowing their yard, very carefully right up to the property line... into THEIR neighbor's yard. 🙃 Like. Hilariously petty.

When we Gen-x and Millenials were kids, classical music got into our brains via the Looney Tunes.

Weird thoughts coming, but Ugly Christmas Sweater parties are classist. How? If you don't *have* any, to participate, you have to *buy* an Ugly sweater. What's more bougie than wasting money on a horrifying piece of clothing that you WILL NOT EVER wear outside of that very specific party?

"It's a battery-saving option." Thanks, Win11, but I prefer "sanity-saving" options. Maybe, LEAVE MY USB PORTS ON WHEN I CLICK THE BUTTON THAT SAYS "LEAVE USBs THE FUCK ON FOREVER AND EVER". But, no, every update you turn it off and I question my life again.

You know what's infuriating? Those "store near you" apps that make you put your location or zip code in and then just say, "Sorry! There are no 'xx' stores nearby!" and that's just fuckin' it. Bro, this is America. SHOW ME A FUCKING MAP. I'LL DECIDE IF 3 HOURS IS TOO FAR TO DRIVE FOR VAILLA SPRITE.

"Everyone can tell what's AI because the anatomy is so bad."
Here is where I mention the time in college that I, a traditional artist, accidentally gave a figure 3 arms, didn't notice, and later had to add a 4th arm to make it look intentional when someone else pointed it out to me. :x

Thinking about Roy Liechtenstein and being fundamentally annoyed by his views on comics. Like, "oh, you've 'elevated' it, huh?". Used to quite like him, but, honestly, of you're going to bastardize and copy something, doing it with love and respect is better than derision.

"Why is everything so BAD right now ..."
"Because we're in the worst timeline."
"....... I meant the tv reception."
"Yup. Still part of it."

Watching Haunted Hotel on Netflix. It's a hilarious, fun time with tons of horror movie references in every episode. We watched the episode "Rollyfluffs" tonight and (SPOILER), it's totally inspired by the s2 Buffy episode "Bad Eggs". It even has a Buffy Easter egg in there.

The Paramount channel on Samsung tv has taken a break from playing every Star Trek movie that ever existed to playing... Galaxy Quest. So, like... I'll be watching Galaxy Quest until they stop playing it. Hold all my calls.

Someone on IG was talking about how "not everything needs two-factor authentication" and... yes, absolutely. It's annoying.

On the other hand...
Someone got into our Domino's account and had our free pizza delivered to Vegas. 🍕

Out of context things I hope stranger never overhear: "I'll kill you, you son of a bitch."

Context: the cat wants me to follow him to his food bowl WHICH STILL HAS FOOD IN IT for the 2ND TIME IN THE LAST 10 MINUTES.

I had a person tell me they "looked for these pins everywhere and this is the only place I've ever seen them". I need to show my process more often. Lol. Sadly, the pin he was hoping to find has been sold out a good long while.
Maybe it's time to do it again. It's one of my favorites.

Tariffs for China are 67%, btw.

Staring at a perfectly pink frozen ahi tuna steak, trying to tell my brain, "no, it is NOT a perfect little watermelon popsicle." My brain thinks I'm a liar.

Tariffs ended at Midnight and new tariffs are posted for a ton of places... but not China. I'm sitting here waiting for them to be posted as if that'll matter when they're at the whims of a tantrumy toddler who will change his mind 20 times in the coming weeks based on how much/little they suck up.
