Legends of Avantris' YT stream has a lot of funny faces to study. I've neglected colour, mostly because it needs more setup and time commitment. There's a sunk cost in getting ready, so interruptions sting a lot more. Maybe getting a tiny travel kit would help. #BadArtHabits #sketching #watercolor

#BadArtHabits I tried to learn to draw without references. I kept hearing “don’t get dependent on the reference” from teachers, and watched kids get piled on for copying other artists. I internalised it and stopped looking. Still relearning one of the most important tools in the box.
