When I was 12, I read Pet Sematary. Scared me so much I took the book and put it behind a couch downstairs at night.
The Stand is my favorite read of all time.
I picked up You Like It Darker at an airport. Same thing happened some 40 years later. Slept with the lights on(well, tried to sleep) ❤️
