Some books I’ve been reading/re-reading that have inspired my current worldview. I’m toying around an outline for a longer essay that grapples with these ideas.

I don’t really get how people see UFOs when they’re out walking their dog. I love my Penny but I have to keep an eye on her at all times lest she fights a garden gnome, gets spooked by an e-bike or tries to eat a lawn pesticide sign.

The average level of taste of the early adopters doesn’t help much. I myself like to mess around with it for stuff like profile pictures, but to describe this as “art” is… complicated, imo.

Anyone catch Harald Malmgren casually dropping the Chinese Patagonia UAP monitoring base? The rest is pretty standard speculation but I haven’t heard that tidbit before.

I find the comment on the bottom very amusing- it has the same energy as comments on songs that are like “uhm, anyone like this song BEFORE tiktok?” or “Only 90s kids remember this!!!”

I’ve driven the northeast corridor from boston -> new jersey probably like a dozen times (both 95 & the merritt pkwy) and the whole route holds this nostalgic feeling for me. you can bang it out in 4ish hours, perfect short road trip length
