The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation into Prof. Saleh Abdullahi Usman, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), over alleged large-scale financial misconduct related to the 2025 Hajj operations. According to sources, Usman presented himself at the EFCC headquarters earlier today in response to a formal invitation. He was subsequently released on administrative bail but is required to report to the Commission daily as investigations continue.

FCTA Shuts Down Construction At River Park Estate

“Obadina Received N2.1bn Without Contract” — EFCC Witness Tells Abuja Court

Nnaji: APC ‘Nest Of Certificate Forgers,’ Says ADC
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as “a nest of certificate forgers.” The party was reacting to the resignation on Tuesday, of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, over certificate forgery allegations. Kaduna Health Practitioners Raise Alarm Over 60 Illegal Training Institutions

 About 139 million Nigerians are currently living in poverty, according to the World Bank. The global lender, however, noted that Nigeria’s economy has begun to show signs of stability as a result of ongoing reforms. Speaking at the launch of the Nigeria Development Update (NDU) report in Abuja on Wednesday, the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Mathew Verghis, commended the Federal Government for implementing bold economic reforms but warned that the benefits are yet to reach most citizens.
