The buff-tip moth (Phalera bucephala) has mastered a very particular kind of camouflage.

When they close their wings up, they resemble a broken twig.

Native to large parts of Europe, there's regional pattern variation that reflects the local tree species. This one best resembles birch twigs?

Good morning to everyone, but especially to all the chameleons, for today is their special day!

Children's books aren't just for kids – they can transport you back in time and offer new perspectives.

World Book Day: Why not enjoy a children’s book?
Only 1 in 3 children in the UK say they enjoy reading, so World Book Day is about demonstrating the fun and pleasure we can get from books

The idea for this book came from my husband and it's dedicated to him, so that makes it extra special.
