My personal tip: use at least one layer of a single colour and play around with the blend mode (multiply, burn etc.). It helps to even out the colours and kinda brings everything together. This also changes the mood of the picture and makes lines less harsh. Examples in the comment.

My personal tip: use at least one layer of a single colour and play around with the blend mode (multiply, burn etc.). It helps to even out the colours and kinda brings everything together. This also changes the mood of the picture and makes lines less harsh. Examples in the comment.
