They might not have let their emotions take over, but in my opinion, Burnham and Tilly never did either. They always performed their duties professionally

Many criticized B'elana's overly emotional reactions during Voyager. I imagine some fans never truly learned to manage their own emotions and are now envious that the characters in Discovery can. Incidentally, I think DS9 had the most emotionally reactive crew before Discovery.

Unfotunately you're right

Perhaps the building is simply so well preserved that hardly any changes were necessary. Even today, there are buildings that have been renovated but still look stylistically like they did 400 years ago. Opera houses and theaters, for example.

I do think some elements look more futuristic than the 23rd century, but all in all, it doesn't look advanced enough. However, I don't think that matters with Starfleet Academy, since the campus already existed during the ENT and SNW/TOS eras.

Imagine this bridge as the bridge of the USS Athena from Starfleet Academy. A slightly lighter gray or even white, some programmable matter, and the 32nd century UI. It would fit so well, and in my opinion, it would look better than the current bridge of the USS Athena.

In the final scene of Discovery, the starbases weren't above Earth either. I think they kept them as outposts. A kind of Deep Space Nine for the 32nd/33rd century.

The CGI looks fantastic compared to the last trailer. This confirms my theory that the last trailer used unfinished shots. Can't wait to watch this series. I hope it has a good story.

The style of the bridge and the uniforms reminds me a little bit of the Starfleet Academy Trailer.

In my headcanon, they hid the seed pods on Earth during the Klingon War so the Klingons wouldn't destroy them. I think these pods are considered culturally very important, as they would have ensured the survival of Earth's flora had Earth been destroyed in World War III.

Looks like red alert. Maybe the "normal" version looks brighter

The USS Discovery had a hugh impact on Federation/Starfleet in the 32nd century. I wouldn't be suprised if it served as inspiration.

Could 5 perhaps be a TOS variant of the Engle class?

This room is simply fantastic. It looks modern and retro at the same time.

Is this picture fan made? If so, it is amazing how quickly fan art exists after release

I've been following the project for a while now. It's simply amazing how good it all looks.

Or they actually built the beds from the concept art. Too bad that we didn't see much of the Enterprise B's sickbay

To be honest, I like this look. In season 1 of Discovery, they really overdid it with the metallic look, but in season 2 and in Strange New Worlds, I think it looks fantastic. Sometimes, though, I wish they'd go more in the direction of Star Wars in terms of the CGI look.

Always wondered what the Picard era LCARS looked like in the TNG color palette. It looks fantastic.

Auf Netflix gibts 2 Filme, die mir sehr gut gefallen haben. The Christmas Chronicals mit Kurt Russell als Santa Claus. Gibt 2 Teile. Sind richtig gut, wobei der 2. Teil um längen besser ist. Die kann ich wirklich empfehlen.
