A long life well lived. So many of our idols have clay feet. President Carter was a man amongst men. May his memory be a blessing. He has left a mark here... and far and wide. Rest in Power and Peace.

He was my favorite president. And became a man whom I admired all of my life. I keep his funko pop figure on my desk and his autobiographies on my shelves. He inspired me deeply throughout my life and his thoughts on service to another guided my heart. I knew this day would come soon.

My cancer is also back.

Ordered Chinese. NO Tree for another week as she takes care of her mother. Because I drew my boundaries and learned to say no, I can't, I'm sorry. If her mom doesn't improve, I don't think the last face a Mother should see is mine. I think that's the place of her daughter.

Tmrw is the saddest day of the year for me. So tonight, I'm busting a bottle of Bubbly. And after taking care of everybody else this fuckin season. I took care of me. With massive amounts of crab. Which I'm steaming warm and going to eat like a gluttonous whore.

My dad bought me a huge container of my favorite oak smoke rub. So I'm roasting a chicken, have lots of wild mushrooms, and squash to saute with shallot and garlic. And a lovely pot of Tates to turn into mash potatoes. I'm a mess, but I'm a damn fine cook.
