Got a used dvd of Leolo recently, miraculously found it sealed for 20$ and I have found a used copy going at 40$, it is so dire. Would riot for a Tropical Malady Blu-Ray.

This is so frustrating as a Quebecois cinephile, there’s about two generations of filmmaking (outside the NFB) that cannot be accessed physically for us and trying to share it outside the country is next to impossible.

It really sucks that Quebec has an incredible catalogue of digitally restored classics but since it is owned by the richest man in the province none of it is available to own, only rentals and maybe some available to stream on one platform that doesn’t exist outside of here.
