me just directly complete the work myself instead of

What's nice about using LLM for handling tasks like gradle builds for android is letting it resolve the simple issues. Telling Claude to run the android build and fix issues it runs into lets me focus on other things!

Sometimes I add features and think I finished them properly. Then, days later I am iterating back and forth on those features to fix edge cases I didn't think through, bugs that I find, etc. Like, we're making progress. But it's certainly not a new feature a day. It's slow pending progress.

When working with AI i find smaller projects are better. Working with data standardization? Move it to a small focused project, without distractions! Much better progress.

Claude is such a yes-man.

Sometimes.... you start out fixing null data errors because of outdated database schemas and API calls. And then you end up adding new features for family oriented learning.

Today I'm working on Nexum again. I've actually challenged myself since I started this to utilize AI tooling more than my own skillset. It starts with a conversations, typically planning out a feature or a sequence of bugs to investigate. Or, just hardening different aspects of the app or database.

I find working with AI tools, vibe coding, to be quite the journey.

I'm no longer just the software engineer. I'm now the context managing, multi-hat product owner, engineer, designer. It's a full rollercoaster ride of product-management, engineering, and software life-cycle crash course.
