As an Aussie, my heart goes out to the people of California. Wildfires are some of the worst and most chaotic natural disasters. It should not have happened, but as the planet gets hotter, terrible things like these happen, and more terrible things are on their way. I can only hope it doesnt spread.

Unusual opinion, but do countries really need a head of state anymore?

I feel that using a parliamentary system or equivalent would be significantly less polarizing. If people were more focused on local elections, they likely wouldn't be so mad at specific parties.
