The more I think about Derek Carr retiring, the less I understand it, monetarily in 2025.
Carr stays = paid $40M guaranteed.
Carr cut (post June 1st) = paid $20M
Carr "retires" = paid $10M.
If injured why not stay and get paid $30M extra to rehab.
If he wants out, get cut for $10M more.

I just found out a "Buckeye" is a horse chestnut tree and their mascot, "Brutus Buckeye" is an anthropomorphic conker!!! 🌰🌰

When asked if he would play CB or WR in the NFL the answer was very clearly "Both".
When asked how that would happen he said "It's not my job to figure that out".

Crazy thing is, Lamar was voted the All-Pro QB ahead of Allen and the two awards are voted for at the same time by the same people!

We shouldn't be that surprised that Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels are looking more complete as #NFL QBs at this point. They've started more games at QB for a lot longer than anyone else in the last 2 draft classes.
