I acknowledge your point as valid, but Russia is callously killing civilians including children instead of targeting purely military targets, so Ukraine needs to take out militarily whatever it can when it can, even if not an ideal target.

I don't understand! What change was made that was so upsetting?
August 22, 2025 at 2:53 PM
Ukraine takes out legitimate targets of war while Putin kills children, bombing homes, schools, train stations. As long as Russia keeps killing people Trump will claim that upsets him, BUT instead of putting increasing pressure on Putin, Putin thinks Trump will try instead to force peace on Ukraine.

I don't understand what you are trying to say with the GIF you posted. Can you put it into words?

Of course stupidly redder than red MS's governor "Tater Head" Reeves, is still offering huge tax break incentives for data centers to relocate to the poorest of poor states, where many already struggle to pay soaring energy costs. @nukularbiskits.bsky.social

States rethink data centers as ‘electricity hogs’ strain the grid • Stateline
Lawmakers in several states are rethinking massive subsidies they've offered to lure data centers, as the costs balloon and they consider how to cope with the growing electricity demand.

I was close to a devotee, BUT the morning that Joe & little wifey announced having taken their kiss the ring visit to Trump's abode of iniquity, I have never watched again. Personally I don't miss his boring sports interruptions & monologues. I now watch BBC in evenings & rarely turn on morning TV.

Thank you so much Sen. Wicker of MS for voting for Hegseth even though you thought he was not a good candidate, but you were a good Trumper and thus obeyed like you thought you must. This is the result of your timidity and obeisance to King John. @nukularbiskits.bsky.social

I'm appreciative because did not know ofPersepolis. I recently tried reading a very popular children's graphic novel series & after 6 books in I decided "graphic novels are not for me," so I was a bit wary about a graphic novel, but this one is excellently done. [The Amulet series, I think 8 books]

Interspersed in the movie's plot is George Orwell who is writing Animal Farm at the time, a book critical of Stalin. It didn't dawn on me immediately, but "Mr. Jones of Manor Farm" is part of the first sentence in Animal Farm. The Ukraine famine is called the Holodovor. A memorial is in D.C.

It turns out that one of the film's characters is George Orwell! The film though is largely about the journalist who first reported on the famine in the Ukraine, killing millions of people, and brought about by Stalin's imposition of collective farming on them & robbing the Ukraine of its grain.

I'd like to mention a film I heard about in a post somewhere in BlueSky. It is "Mr. Jones." The poster said it was a must see film of sorts, relating to authoritarianism. I was able to find the film streaming free on the ROKU channel. Other streaming options were available.

I wondered what your motivation was in forming this club. I sort of joined for several reasons, but one of them is to add a bit of like minded sociability to my life. I'm not saying we all think alike here, but at least we do both read AND think. My neighbor told me she "hates to read."

One of the news women on MSNBC the other night was waving a copy of 1984 around during the news cast.

What is frightening is that he seems to have plans to architecturally "redo" the Kennedy Center. Quotes from JFK are on some of the walls. Trump's oval office decor is the epitome of classless tastlessness as is the eradicated Rose Garden & now concrete patio, and his anticipated massive ballroom.

I thought he has been practicing playing the Star Spangled Banner with his bum cheeks or under arm pits or was it God Save the King, I forget which.

Since you typically play wishy washy, but then ultimately kisss the ring, thank you Senator Lisa Murkowski for being so willing to barter away Alaska's natural resources to build the state of autocratic Russia.

Why doesn't Trump just offer his first born child or a night of access with his wife?

Let's everyone plan now to boycott CBS on Sunday, December 22 from 8:30 p.m. ET to 11 p.m., the night it airs the Kennedy Center Honors program, and make it have the lowest possible viewer rating. That will also pay CBS back for its hypocritical $16million settlement with Trump over his whining.

I don't disagree, BUT this Kennedy Center performance by Arethra Franklin, honoring Carold King, with a real president and a real first lady in the audience is way up there. Wait til about 2 minutes or so in when she gets up from the piano.

Trump's mouth looks like an anal orifice, which is appropirate I guess, given what comes out of it.
