Where the Gatineau River meets the Ottawa River in 1972. Ended in 1992. It took several years to clear all the logs and "deadheads" in the two rivers to make it safe for recreational boating.

I'm old enough to remember this. The springtime was so dangerous with the ice and snow and the rapids. Holy smokes! They sometimes used dynamite too!

I'm not sure what the military security thing is about. Some people are freaked out about the Arctic. Truth be told if Russian or Chinese forces landed in the Arctic in the hopes of invading the US they would have to make it through bug infested muskeg in the summer or snow and ice in the winter.

Pretty sure things have changed. This is the greenhouse my baby cucumbers and green relish comes from. Looks fine. Local Savoura Bio tomato greenhouses look similar to this one.

Do ongoing wars figure in the calculations? Just wondering if oil and gas storage depots on fire, burning military tanks, burning buildings, etc. are in there somewhere.

Seniors in their late 70s don't like to travel far from home and that includes Trump. I will be surprised if he shows up in the Canadian Rockies for the G7 in June.
