Honestly honestly, 10000% agree with you. My coauthors are so confused by this, but manual is not that much harder and much easier for me!

Yes, this happened to me this year. By someone who works in my uni. At a conference while I was wearing a conference badge... And standing next to them during an "academics only group photo". They did not apologise or even respond when I told them my job title 😑 (still annoyed, sorry!)
