Spent my New Year’s Eve having a BBQ with family. It was REALLY LOVELY! I also did my New Year's traditions: rewatched the Harry Potter series and started a new farm on Stardew Valley. Other than that, I didn’t do much else tbh 😅

New research says that more than one out of every five videos YouTube suggests to new people is "AI junk or slop" These are low-quality videos made by AI just to get clicks and views. They checked the top 100 channels in every country and found that 278 of them post nothing but this computer made junk generating about $117m a year for channel owners. Bought this Xiaomi phone ~4 years ago for development purposes, and the community maintaining these devices is awesome, it just got a pretty stable Android 16 build this week. My only complaint for these devices is the build quality 🙃

Playing around with my old laptop, and transformed it into a home server 📡
I originally wanted to use it for learning k8s with minikube, turns out it's not capable enough 😭 So I installed jellyfin for media server instead, and kavita for reading ebooks :abunhdhappyhop:
