I recently bought a Kindle copy of the NRSV with relevant quotations from C S Lewis in the text.
He makes wise observations that have me agreeing wholeheartedly, and then he throws in a comment that sounds exactly the wrong note.
I am sure he would enjoy a robust discussion about it, though.

Kingdom Season has some of the characteristics that Advent once had. Though, judging by the Christmas tree already up in the houses around here, thoughts of Heaven, Hell, Death and Judgment may have to come earlier still to avoid the annual celebration of the Incarnation of our Lord.

Agreed. Watching it that night on Top of the Pops gave an exciting/scary feeling that still stirs in me when I listen to Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane.

Perhaps, someone should tell him about Hillsborough in 1989 and why the fencing had been installed, which stopped fans escape the overcrowding.
