I don’t that the misreading of local politics is unique to MAGA. Look at the Labour government in the UK who are haemorrhaging voters on the left to pursue uninterested Reform backers. Politics is hard and politicians often get it wrong! If they struggle, what chance do sec leaders have!?

The key thing about Epstein is that he procured (underage) girls for friends.

Those close to him aren’t primarily being condemned for the friendship but because it raises questions of whether they were involved in the crimes!

Why should I, a high earning tax payer who went to university, have to fund the healthcare of people who didn’t?

Is it because maybe as a society we should fund the things that add value to a society?

I think it’s just an incredibly tasteless joke for maga types/trolling the libs. I would bet that the person who writes those emails is nowhere near power.

The only thing that’s stopped a bunch of bad guys with guns is the death of a good guy with a gun. Bleak.

Surely events in Minnesota must make them realise they could easily lose it!?

And can’t see any more beyond potentially Canopius joining them in the near future

The suppress the vote mid terms thing doesn’t work on these numbers before you even consider the voter mobilisation aspect. I appreciate its anecdote but there are a lot of stories of apolitical people mobilising against ICE. A vote suppression attempt could have the same unintended effect

That said, I think given the scale of several prior Mediterranean/Middle Eastern empires, the importance of supply chains was very well understood

Given both the refusal to negotiate peace after Cannae and the Fabian strategy that was followed (but abandoned) prior to the battle, I think you are right.
