I haven't actually checked but I kinda get the impression now that America seems to be the bad guy instead in China.
I mean Trump literally loves American coal and oil industry and seems convinced coal is almost pollution free, contrary to all evidence.

Trump seems hellbent on starving the American people. I just can't quite figure out what he has to gain from displaying himself as the most evil man on the planet.

When I look at America now and the democrats I see people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett for example and also Gavin Newsom and J.B Pritzker taking a stand against against the authoritarian Trump. That is what I believe the democrats need. Action, not passivity.

Okey, thank you for the help. Been googling and compared Ubuntu and Linux Mint and just DLd Mint. Gonna try it on a live usb first of course and if I like it, I'll do a dual boot. I'll do some research into GOG also. But thanks.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering switching to a Linux dist instead, since I can nowadays use it to game on.

I haven't used Linux or Unix for over two decades now but I can learn again.

They are afraid of the ultimate punishment. Not being re-elected and being forced to work a normal job. Doesn't matter which political party, that is their biggest fear.
