Edit: Yeah, pretty sure this is grave statuary.
It says something about her being blessed, I think, and castissimae is a feminine plural.
The first bit says “congratulations to Papina.” And then there’s the incomparable woman (or women, I’m not sure).
I may of course be wrong.

I think it was pretty much the entire portion of scalp. There’s also a skull they think is from upper Africa, as well. While none of this is Roman (I see you post a lot about them), I had to jump in with this cool little artifact.

Human hair from the ossuary at St Leonard’s in Kent. The hair’s from the medieval period, but I can’t remember if it’s early or late.
