RIGHT, this is why I started following you
Very calm and chill WoT show takes.

Sonofabitch that's how people draw this? No one taught me, I just taught myself to freehand it from top to bottom after seeing it on other kids' book covers.
No wonder I wasn't that into it and went into other stylized S shapes later.

I suddenly have a very strong urge to try to teach my pet rats some ballet.
So far the rats are less than thrilled with this idea.

"All money made must be directly attributable to me being correct" - every CEO ever
December 13, 2025 at 1:17 AM
That is really mind-bendingly weird. Not even one normal thing about it.
December 13, 2025 at 1:15 AM
I wish I had answers for you, I could use them myself. At this point I'm dealing with it by letting my mom do all the heavy lifting and just being someone she can vent to.
"I'm going to pretend this isn't happening" isn't the right answer, or a healthy one, but I might need to use it a bit longer.

Even then I think internet just makes it easier to spread amongst kids without people of other ages interacting with it much. That used to be limited to the local playground, etc.
If kids yelled out "Where's the beef?" in the 80s, parents knew it was that damned TV commercial.

Sure I did, but to be fair, it was mostly because I wanted to draw cool letters for my initials

Honestly his little rant is right about "That really archaic word 'groceries'" level of out of touch.
I mean all his posts could be summed up as "Do you really want health care to work just like it does now, but you pay less?"
December 12, 2025 at 2:13 AM
Pretty sure "paying 8-10% more in taxes" instead of the premiums and deductibles we pay now would be a huge discount for most people too
December 11, 2025 at 11:51 PM
The other premise is that this is somehow different from how it works now

If "doctors and nurses" (not who actually decides, but different rant) don't want to work for what my insurance company will pay them, then they aren't covered by my insurance. Happens all the time.
December 11, 2025 at 11:30 PM
And of course you've ALREADY done the "shop around for the cheaper option" thing, because you're at Urgent Care and not the Emergency Room.
December 11, 2025 at 2:57 PM
Weirdly I can't remember why I started following you - I'd never even heard of Kit Rocha. Pretty sure you just kept posting stuff I wanted to see more of, and several others I follow also follow you.
It was before the Freeze Drier Madness began, but what even were those times?
December 11, 2025 at 2:45 AM
And I'm pretty sure I could trick my grandkids into going on a years-long fool's errand of a treasure hunt without the help of an LLM
If there's one thing my mother taught me, it's devotion to the bit

if your therapist didn't reply "That you know of!" then I don't even understand therapy

And there's no way he can even get Trump to understand what he's done here. "We changed a font to something disabled people have trouble with *evil laugh*" doesn't resonate against "We removed mentions of slavery from the museums"
He's doing all this and it isn't even going to win him brownie points
December 10, 2025 at 2:43 AM
His excuse is serif fonts have "more decorum"? Seriously?
He knows EXACTLY what he's doing here. He's trying to score points with his boss but his ability to target people is limited right now, so he found a change that helped people that he could undo for no reason other than to hurt people.

feels an awful lot like when Sen. Cassidy said Louisiana's maternal death rate would look normal if you accounted for the fact that they have a lot of black people

Baseball has an incredibly weird relationship with anti-trust legislation and litigation.

More specifically, FB too big to scare by threatening a lawsuit. They can absorb the legal fees and are happy to grind you to dust and get precedent set.
December 9, 2025 at 9:28 PM
Ah, well, I've never been able to do any, even as a rather fit teenager and certainly not now. I remember the presidential fitness test asked for 10-15 of them or so, until they changed it to arm hang.

Congrats on being able to do 20, then, as it sounds like a good accomplishment!
December 9, 2025 at 8:21 PM
And it's such a weird thing to challenge someone over. 20 seems like a very normal amount of pull-ups for someone who performs the exercise regularly? Just anger for anger's sake.
