I'm still waiting to one day get an official manga release of Kongo Bancho. This 2007 delinquent themed battle shonen is a love letter to 1980's manly manga. It was originally published in Shonen Sunday & done by Nakaba Suzuki (The Seven Deadly Sins) & remains my favorite work from this mangaka.

It’s the year 2000. DC comics puts four page glossy inserts in their comics with fake fashion. Actually 8 pages. The other four are ads.

A lot of what’s in this panel appears in the first panel of the next page, right next to this one. Sometimes I think about getting lazy and just copy pasting, but if you can see both panels at the same time, I just can’t accept it. So naturally, I redrew it from scratch at almost the same angle.

I keep thinkin about how one skull is a sign for revolution and liberation and the other is a coward's fascist brand. Disney could fix it. They sued a family for wanting spiderman on a child's tomb. Marvel half heartedly tried to revamp Punisher. In the end it is what it is and speaks volumes.
