Your beautiful React component? The elegant abstraction you’re proud of? In 5 years that’s a build artifact in .gitignore. The actual codebase is requirements.md+ tests + constraints.yml. Code isn’t the craft anymore—precise specification is.

I think at a high level, most people are simplifying these deals as circular. What they are is an infrastructure investment. The scale and demand for compute is so vast that chip makers (trains) need to invest in the DC infrastructure (tracks). It opens the door to more chips, networking, software
