I agree with most of what you’ve been saying here, but I don’t think I’m prepared to own everything the US Govt does, or even what the Democrats do, as much as I’d like them to remain in power. To be clear, I don’t support Hamas either, but this doesn’t seem like a universally applicable standard.

Would love to, but in a first past the post election, that doesn’t work unless enough people get behind the same other candidate for them to win. Otherwise all you’re doing is drawing off support and letting the other party win.

This will never ever happen until we get rid of first past the post voting (and even then it isn’t guaranteed). Focus all of your energy on that, and until then vote for people who will preserve democracy and stop helping republicans get elected.
