True story: I almost named my newsletter "Cunning Linguist."

I thought it was clever, but I think I'd have had to chuck professionalism out the window. 😂

“Nice guys finish last.”

Huge lie.

Kindness is currency in the modern era.

Let’s all get rich in it.

As I've said before to people, the lessons my dad and the military taught me have stuck. I'm tired to the bone, my gas tank is on empty, but I move forward with single minded determination to succeed. When you think you have nothing more left to give is when you're at your absolute best.

I think it's weird that most "gurus" out there only seem to celebrate their own wins. I LOVE seeing others win. It makes me very happy for them. I truly like it when others succeed and remain true to who they are. I like celebrating with them.

DALL-E now has an image editing tool in it. Don't like a specific part of the image it created? Cool, cool... just highlight the area and tell it what you want and it will change it while keeping the rest of the image the same.

Now that is helpful.

In my quest to be a better story writer, I was tasked to write based on the phrase "out on a limb."

The goal: use the phrase, find a story within me, and make it relevant to your audience or niche.

I think I got lucky on this one:

Remember: writing is an art.

The blank page is your canvas.

The words paint a picture in another's mind.

A two-dimensional telepathy.

Simple little squiggles profound enough to change an entire world when done correctly.

It is a gift not to be underestimated.

Being honest, I know a lot of online gurus who like to say waking up before the sun comes up is the way to get things done. But I'm working for a day when I can wake up when my body says it's had enough sleep and being productive as possible doing something I love.

You know, I'm really digging DuckDuckGo's browser. Very good for privacy, easy to use without all the bloat of Chrome or the others. It lacks a little functionality that I'm used to, but I'm all about simple, and it simplifies things.

Like most writers, I have a day job. I'm a GM at a popular dollar retail store. I was informed that we could not allow solicitors like the Girl Scouts to sell cookies or food trucks on the property because that would then allow union reps to solicit workers. So, I will just invite them in myself. 🙂
