I wanted to show off our regular route to school. I don’t feel like the protected bike lane is separated enough for my son to safely ride it but last winter the snow banks made it *just right* for a day. I’m hoping Milwaukee is able to create bike lanes that are safe for him year-round!

AmFam is definitely open on the grounds, restaurant, and the shop. I assume but don’t know that that stadium itself will have parts gated off, but when I’ve showed up on non-game days it felt fairly open on the ground floor.

Fiserv I assume is locked down except for the box office

I don’t want to jinx anything, but if the brewers were to sweep the post season after ending the regular season with their win against the reds, I think that would put them at 12 wins a row and we could all celebrate the WS win at Webb’s

I’m just a guy who bought a couple shirts and stickers years ago 😂

Actually that’s only half true, when @brooklynspoke.bsky.social came to Milwaukee ages ago I did end up on the podcast for 10 seconds!

The house I grew up in had not-quite-shag length carpet in a terrible green color. My parents pulled most of it out as soon as we moved in, but kept it on the stairs that led down to my bedroom. Maybe that all left an impression

It’s no marble backsplash column but I think it would go a long way

The worst part is that I’ve done the dining room / living room swap before and it made for a great eating area and a terrible “room with couches and TV”.

Maybe it’ll work out this time!

Continuing to try to figure out the entire layout of my goofy house and I keep coming back to the conclusion that the couches need to go in the dining room, the table needs to go in the living room, and that this would all be easier if I cut a hole in the floor to make a conversation pit.
A printed floor plan of my living room overlaid with a grid of squares. Cut out pieces of paper with icons for couches, chairs, desk, drawers, etc, are laid out on the grid. In the background is another sheet of paper with another room and grid.

This is bad.

Not because any of these routes were essential to the system, but because it portends a dramatic shrinking of the system that will eventually make individual routes less valuable, reduce ridership and trigger future cuts.

It is the start of a death spiral.

Pour one out for the ancient tracks they’re digging up with this water main project
