Yeah they seem to be returning to their roots so to speak. I like Steam and use it every day but also buy from GoG, specifically the retro titles that they've been bringing back.

I got it at launch in 1999 and always lamented how it wasn't RE2. It always felt "less" to me. I appreciate it much more now (I played it again about two years ago) but yeah: feels like an acquired taste. One goal I have in 2026 is to go through all the mainline games again one more time!

I used Claude Code over the summer to create firmware for the Reflex Adapt for MiSTer that allows you to use a genuine DualShock 2 on your PC complete with analog sensitive face buttons. Works great for MGS3!
