It isn’t like they didn’t go through it before. In 18–19, they lost $27B under Trump 1.0, & they still voted for him, fully aware. Trump 2.0 is just bigger. It looks like they got what they voted for. #WelfareQueens

Ok, I should have said “significant” instead of “most,” as from the perspectives of domestic economic and political interests the program was a vital and reliable source of income for farmers and of the category, where the commitment to U.S.-sourced commodities shapes the program’s design and cost.

And most of that budget was used to buy crops from US farmers to be sent abroad. Funny how that works.

I’m old enough to remember when @politico.com ‘s CEO Mathias Döpfner prayed for Trump to be re-elected. This is by design. Most of the media nowadays is being realigned with this way of thinking.
