The beautiful Paragon Arcade in Hull looking festive. Excellent to see it remains both a Victorian gem and vibrant part of Hull's retail and leisure offer.

Fascinating to see the redeveloped Birmingham City Museum and Gallery emerge with some members of the Wilberforce House Museum Advisory Board yesterday. Packed with young Brummies keen to engage with their city's past, and exciting to see how the city portays its imperial story.

Highlight of the week was meeting colleagues from Mariupol State University. They needed no introduction to the places I have researched, but did not realise people, goods and ideas from Ukraine shaped Hull. A thought provoking meeting on the 1000th day of Russia's brutal invasion of their homeland.
