I liked tri-x a little bit more than Ilford. Something about the contrast was better. Ilford was a little bit cheaper at my local shop though. The difference was so subtle that you really had to be in-person, looking at the prints to tell the difference.

Today I got vanishing.page setup again with a new database. The last DB (Fauna) disappeared, which is a bummer.

Currently waiting for TLS certificates to happen.

Another day, another side project.

Another day, another web component.

Good old modal window. I'm glad because it was actually hard to find a 'standalone' component for this. Maybe I can stop making the same thing over and over again.

A new frontend, that I'm calling taproom.

bskytaproom.dev

It is a GUI for a tap server. Not totally done yet. At least 1 button doesn't do anything.

/cc @dholms.at I think I saw you post about tap.
and @ngerakines.me I think I saw you using it too

And just like that, a new platform is almost done.

Using Bluesky as a backend is *really* under-appreciated, imo. It feels like you are getting away with something. Like how can all these resources be usable by anyone? I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, for them to lock it down more.

Today I learned something. The Bluesky web GUI is not the best for debugging a custom feed. When you are using a single test account and can't figure out why your other posts are not showing…

It's ok. A few hours are gone. A guide the screenshots — GUI shows one post, JSON has 8 posts.

Good news everyone. The test is working. This is visible in the bluesky UI, but was created with a new client application.
