So glad you enjoyed it! Yeah when I replayed the game it was such a rollercoaster - being so excited and let down constantly back and forth. I'm keen to integrate some of the lessons about tension and release/visual flourish in my upcoming game.

Yeah let me know if you do give it a go. I quite like the trijam, it's only three hours and happens every weekend so it's amazing for picking one thing and experimenting with it. For example, when I was learning how to make menus in Godot, I made a click based murder mystery.

My last few projects got out of hand with scope so I've recently been doing game jams to sharpen that skill of sticking to something and shipping it. I've just started work on a casual arcade game about day trading so will be sharing more of that soon.

Ah very cool! What are you working on at the moment? I'm visiting Japan for the first time in a few weeks so very excited about that.

It was the first RPG I ever played so I got to feel the magic of levelling up and progressing for the first time. You start as a rookie and fight your way up to representing your tennis academy at a tournament... it felt amazing

Yeah thanks! It's brand new. Recently I've been doing game jams and just last weekend decided to work on a full project again

Yeah quite basic as it was a three hour game jam. Basically a procedurally generated maze you need to find your way to the bottom of before running out of oxygen. The tension comes from choosing whether to risk going deeper or resurface to reset air. It was my first attempt at 2.5D so pretty stoked!
