I think you might be right, though very easy to go overboard on, the last of the night is generally one too many.I'm really not that keen on the Dubbel though.

Ah, another one I sold for good times I can barely remember now in the early 90s.....

I'm really enjoying the sheer bonkerness of these films and their world. And Dr Kelston is such a great character, he could be a Ballard protagonist from his 70s novels.

You can be you ep and Guilty are great singles. Though a later label did try and glam her up for mainstream success, I seem to remember Jimmy Pursey of Sham 69 being involved. I think she's gigging again now.

Not meant as criticism, I'm not fully comfortable with all aspects of the industry I'm in either

I always get slightly thrown when people I associate with The Guardian/ Observer write for the likes of The Soectator. Guess we',ve all got to make a living.
I am looking forward to reading this book though.

I remember there being a fair amount of confusion about Crass's stage image having fascist overtones though, much like Laibach later.

Have always regretted selling my copy of that. Still have the Chaos tape of Discharge at the Lyceum though.

Went on a few free party traveller site outings to the Que club, no idea which nights, but definitely 'proper' techno.

Having said that, I don't regret going. They certainly have the catalogue.

Same usually, went last minute because there were tickets left and I'd been on a bit of a Saints binge earlier in the year and was curious.
I've had considerably better nights at any of the Shitty Futures gigs I've been to.

I saw the recent Saints 73-78 gig in Bristol, really enjoyable in a never got to see them first time round way, apart from a strangely slow version of This Perfect Day. Probably the last time I'll shell out on a heritage punk gig though.
But yeah, The Astoria...that bit of London has been ruined.

He shares the same birthday as me, Jean Jacques Burnel and Dick Lucas ( Subhumans) in February , the most punk rock of birthdays.

Just having my first delve into the book and giving In Camera a spin for the first time in years. Looking forward to a deep dive into PH/ VdGG, it's been a while.

Impressive racket for a 2 piece. Another one on the list to see live this year.

Nice article. I've been impressed with how good they are again live with Rat drumming. Shame Paul Grey doesn't get a mention, he wrote some absolute classics in the early 80s and he made a real difference when he rejoined a few years ago.

I'm very fond of mine butchering foreign pronunciation when I'm driving abroad. Must be a similar experience French people have when I have a crack at their language.
