My Dad had a copy of this, he had joined as a Cadet in 1942, so possibly a bit of unofficial reading when home on leave. Sadly the book was nowhere to be found when I finally cleared my parent’s house.

The Whitley wasn’t too good on one engine. My wife’s father’s cousin was the WOp/AG on a 102 squadron Whitley that lost its port engine en route to Germany in May 1941, turning back, it ended up in a Norfolk tree! Luckily all walked away. Sadly he was KIA on his 2nd tour in January 1943
