These kinds of acts not only threaten non-white residents, but threaten healthy and free speech. It is these kinds of displays and rhetoric that make violence more likely. They are becoming increasingly emboldened to show themselves in Placer County. In 2023, it was a group of Proud Boys harassing a pastor and openly displaying white power hand signs during a school board meeting in Roseville. Now they are marching in Auburn. goldcountrymedia.com/news/282781/...

We need a trade policy that promotes labor standards and unions around the world. That is how we increase trade without sending jobs overseas. We need to continue our investment in higher education and achieve universal healthcare so that they are accessible to all, not just the wealthy.

The Democratic Party will always remain steadfast and vocal in its support of organized labor. We must make clear that if you want a strong middle class, you must support policies that help the workers of the middle class, not the top 1% in our economy. #labor #unions #democraticparty

The lives upended by mass layoffs mean nothing to Trump and this Republican controlled Congress. They cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans while cutting our the safety nets for working people who fall on hard times.

Instead of keeping promises to support workers, the Trump Administration is quickly pushing forward with attacks on organized labor and weakening worker protections. This is becoming one of the most dire moments for labor in modern American history.

From farmworkers to ironworkers; from longshoremen to autoworkers; from teachers and nurses to scientists and engineers; and all other union workers, these are the people who brought us out of the gilded age and into a new deal. Thank you for your proud history of making America better.
