It is actually a newer country song that interpolates "Hold My Hand" in the chorus and they got Hootie to sing his parts again...so Cracked Rear View adjacent?

Saw them at Burn Bright back in Feb and was on the fence prior to the show but was blown away. And the new album is so good!

You got Art to mention Colorfinger, which will continue to feed my hope that someday, I will be able to own proper versions of those songs. For now, 25 year old mp3s from Napster will have to suffice

The section on Everclear was great. It's rare to be able to read actual critical appraisal of music that I have such a deep appreciation for, as it feels like that whole pop-rock era of the late 90s is generally just a punchline. Two thumbs up!
