when you do it on floaties/big bodies its more consistent because squidward falls before the 3rd/last hit, but on fastfallers he usually gets the last hit by accident because of their fallspeed, so its harder on chars like tigre/azula/etc

retreating fair is already a thing most squids do but DJCing it close to the ground makes it really hard to punish cuz he slides backward. it can also confirm into grab on no DI/DI in but i havent checked DI out consistently. ironically it probably is LESS consistent on fastfallers

It's a lot more beginner-friendly than Melee but i recommend waiting a few days if ur gonna try it out cuz the servers are shitting themselves rn
