Mainly independent beer and Cincinnati Bengals esoterica. I apologise in advance.
Have you tried paracetamol? Genuinely does help for me in similar situations.

In all seriousness, this recognition for our team's hard work is lovely. We are very chuffed. Thank you for your support as readers and cheerleaders, we literally could not exist without you - KM

Not to be taken the wrong way, but I went through a big Suicide phase in my early 20's. Completely forgot about them until I saw this post... might be time to fire em back up again.

Confirmed. Mad to me that the wonders of a steak and kidney pie have not made it over the pond.

For the record though, I do think that free or very heavily subsidised LOCAL public transport would be an overwhelmingly good thing, and would probably be a net economic benefit.

That number is only relevant if you include a proper analysis of the economic benefit. Personally find it difficult believe it wouldn't be more than 8bn anyway.

One thing that I'd love to see in an interview is a challenge to Christians like this on their "pride" in the UK. Their doctrine lists pride as one of only 7 "deadly sins"... I wonder if they've ever considered this apparent contradiction.

Oh yeah, for sure. I think the mistake that we tend to fall into though is projecting some machiavellian thought to it, when its really just quite simple people, fumbling around, justifying their own base instincts.
November 22, 2025 at 9:33 AM
See, my counterpoint is that these are the ramblings of someone who has never needed to really develop powers of logical analysis, vainly justifying his groping towards "power". Without his upbringing he'd be working at PC World.

I don't buy this 'clearly intelligent' thing at all. He knows some big words, but the ideas expressed in this interview are not logically consistent with each other. There might have been some editorial license, obviously, as a proviso.
