I made a starter pack that includes all the folks in the tech industry who are sometimes inclined to jam. The list also includes @questlove.bsky.social because he should be on ALL lists the include musicians for all time.

I hope this list expands!

What do you call the type of person who can go a year without booze as long as they don’t go out where other friends have a drink?

Watched this interesting talk on how Facebook is converting Slurm to run on k8s and chuckled a bit when they said "we wrote a wrapper cli around helm in rust to we could abstract helm from the researchers"

This is a hilarious application of Rust and I am here for it.

@savissavvy.bsky.social is a master of her craft. She can make any scrub sound palpable in an interview while taking raw material taken like Ameenah’s and let it shine.

This article from @wired.com is a bit unclear. Was OpenAI using Claude APIs to benchmark their competition or using it in their SDLC because ChatGPT wasn’t good enough of at code assist?

Some say AI is sycophantically buttering humans up to please them. I say they are just seasoning their dinner.

Lately I can’t seem to get away from tech people talking about how important they are. Phish shows, baseball game, fucking grocery store.

NO ONE GIVES A SHIT!

Find something more interesting to relate with people about.

I'm in a funk. I know I need to be grateful for the general state of my life, but faaack I am struggling to ignore all the nonsense around me and focus on the good right now. I think I need an entire year off the grid.

One annoying part of the evening was born out of these 5 Texans, several with masters hats on and other generally good indicators of entitlement.

See, there were 5, but only four seats, and they spent the night encroaching on the folks to the right of them.
Sturgil Simpson might be the best live show on earth right now. 3 plus hours of a sick rhythm section, lyrical guitar playing all around, and some tasteful covers.
