I've stashed one up the seat tube for years. I have the Brompton toolkit in the frame hole and a CO2 under the saddle. Have been lucky and rarely needed any of them.

Hope surgery went well and you are doing OK. I was in theatre this morning but nothing major or life threatening and I'll probably get let out tomorrow. Will just need to navigate Storm Claudia to get home. Looking forward to hearing from you here again. Best wishes ...

These aren't hacks, just adverts. Here's a proper hack I use that's free ... few pages of a magazine or newspaper down front of jersey for an early start - keeps the cold off and can easily be binned once it warms up a little.

Yes, makes great coffee. Mine is 25 years old and still in use. The rubber seal is cheap and easy to replace when it wears out. Be sure cooker hob is suitable. Have used with gas ring and a hot plate. For electric stove top the ring size was too big. Not sure if will work with an induction hob.
