Andrade blamed Abramoff and somehow it pulled Butina, Erickson, and Levin or something. IIRC, Erickson was involved with Trump’s first campaign or something.

Oh, wow. I forgot that whole mess. It’s been forever. Andrade was indicted in 2020 for wire fraud and money laundering for making false statements about AML BitCoin ICO. Abramoff was charged in that same case. He pleaded guilty.

FATF and the Egmont Group had already suspended Russia after the full-scale invasion, but given the amount of illicit finance risk, including money laundering, sanctions evasion, and fraud, as well as cybercrime, I'm still shocked that it hasn't been grey listed by FATF at the very least.
