affected by ICE etc but just feeling empathatic as an european isn't going to help anyone. People don't look at the US, see whats going on rn, see what the average American is doing and think "thats awful, but thank god people are dancing in frog costumes"

There were a bunch of solidarity protests for Venezuela if thats what you talking about.
And yeah, obviously it's an awful and probably overwhelming situation living in the US right now. Sure it's definitely easier observing from outside. 99% of the people I know feel deep solidarity with everyone

There were multiple armed uprisings against the Nazi regime, and that was arranged without the internet and with the media under control.

Both things can be absolutely true at once. I can have empathy wirh everyone who's a victim of ICE and the government and I can also look at what 90% of the poeple are doing (singing in costums at ICE (?)) and shake my head.
