... doing that, again, requires regulation of stock trading and taxation to be possible. And to top it all off, according to Echelon Insights, more people are fiscally progressive and socially conservative than the other way around. In other words, more are both religious fanatics, and support...

That is actually not true. The Amish did not flip Pennsylvania to Trump. As you can see on the map, the counties in Amish Country didn't make any noticeable shifts, while those outside of Amish Country made a sharp turn to the right.

Are you sure you want to make an argument for Harris running again when she couldn't even win the popular vote?
October 28, 2025 at 3:12 AM
Um... No. He actually won several states, including New Hampshire, Nevada, and came in a close second in Iowa every single time. Also, both times there was context. The first time the DNC actually rigged it for Hillary, and the second time, most candidates dropped out to clear the field for Biden.

It's traditionally served with Pie and Mash. Which, if I'm honest, why would you need to have it as a side dish when the main course outshines it every way? (Seriously, can I order pie and mash without jellied eels?)

I'm going to do a thread on which real-life songs actually were an inspiration for Total Drama World Tour songs. Some of these are speculative, so, take it with a grain of salt.

This might be a hot take, but, at least in his first term, Bill Clinton was at least fiscally progressive. Since he was the last President to substantially raise the corporate and wealth tax, and at least attempted public healthcare. And he was actually pretty good with unions, especially passing...

It was so bad I rewrote the first paragraph just so it makes more sense as an introduction to the book. Because when you begin your book, it needs to have some sense of establishment of what's going on, and when it happens.

Okay! Am I the first one to find it laughable that JK Rowling messed up the first paragraph of Goblet of Fire? That is not how you begin a chapter in your book, even if it is the middle entry in your franchise. Did Rowling not have a better editor to fix this mistake?

Yeah, John Fetterman is very corrupt. Though this is honestly typical of most politicians who accept money from and invest in.

It's with a heavy heart that I share that Cammy Girl, who was my dog for fourteen years, has passed away today, on August 25th, 2025. Please send your condolences heavily and respectfully, as me and my family are currently in mourning.

1. Jon Stewart = Donald Trump

Both are outsider populists who run by using language that nobody else would dare use, and mocking their opponents by calling them nicknames that describes their most negative aspects. And they win the nomination due to the amount of media attention they're given...
August 20, 2025 at 11:18 PM
2. Gavin Newsom = Ted Cruz

Both are the candidates who hold out the longest and probably would be the frontrunners if it weren't for another candidate. But they lose due to them being out of touch and massive underperformers in their home states, and are seen as more risky than the actual winners.
August 20, 2025 at 11:18 PM
3. Pete Buttigieg = Marco Rubio

Initially seen as an early frontrunner. But the party's move towards populism, plus their lack of experience, plummets them into third place, giving them the bronze. But they eventually serve in their rival's cabinet.
August 20, 2025 at 11:18 PM
4. Cory Booker = John Kasich

The last dying breaths of the old establishment of their political parties who desperately try hanging in there, only to completely fizzle out in the end. (Though, this one has a caveat, as the former remains loyal, while the latter switches sides.)
August 20, 2025 at 11:18 PM
5. Stephen A. Smith = Ben Carson

Both being political outsiders who fail to capture the populist want of both parties' bases, and try way too hard to be hip with the young crowd with cringy rap songs, only to fall flat on their faces. Despite that, they still fail upwards to the top five.
