Figured I need some kind of social media presence, and — to quote Gandalf — the air doesn't smell so foul here.

Assorted snark, musings, and self-hustle to follow.

Just got back from seeing this, and I gotta say: a great Predator movie was not on my bingo card for 2025, but Trachtenberg and company pulled it off. This kicked ass and makes me want to re-watch Prey and Killer of Killers, stat.

Huzzah! HOMM is finally back and seemingly better than ever. Between this, Songs of Conquest, and other newcomers like Stormbinders, it feels like we're entering a new golden age of turn-based strategy.

I didn't think a new TDG album with *both* lead singers was in the cards, and yet here we are. They really sound great together. Welcome back, Adam.

As much as I still love the TNG-era Borg and Control from DISCO, Star Trek's most complex and nuanced antagonists have always felt so much more compelling than the its one note big baddies or goofy sky beams. A lesson other franchises could stand to learn, too.
Star Trek Needs New (and Better) Villains - Reactor
The "villains" of Trek are meant to be foils to the Federation's worldview, not blindly evil antagonists.

Rooting for EHG to find a path to profitability without sacrificing their core vision. Last Epoch has given me hundreds of hours of fun since v0.9, so I'm hoping they can turn this around over the next few seasons and fully realize their potential in the ARPG space.
Travelers,

A follow-up statement from Judd Cobler, CEO of Eleventh Hour Games, regarding PlayStation 5 and Last Epoch: Orobyss is now available on our forums.

Preach, Bilbo. Preach: “I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.”

The newest iteration of Lois is probably my favorite, or possibly tied with MAWS:

"And Gunn’s critical, gutsy Lois reveals a Superman deeply enmeshed with humanity. She exposes his weaknesses—both through her questions, and through saving him—and those weaknesses are a celebrated part of him."
The Lois Lane Test - Reactor
There are a few key criteria by which one can judge a Lois Lane depiction... and, in turn, our understanding of any Superman narrative.

This is a great encapsulation of why the *heart* of Superman 2025 feels so right: Its sincerity, compassion, and righteousness are utterly earnest and unironic. No quippy subversion or brooding grimdark, but actual hope. Sign me up.
